On Friday, April 15th, at approximately 3pm, an elderly male reported that he was mowing the front yard of his residence located in the 5600 block of Black Oak Lane in the city of River Oaks.
The complainant reported that he observed a Blue/Green colored Hyundai sedan pull into the driveway of his residence. He reported that a Âclean cut white male wearing a button up shirt and displaying what appeared to be a TXU identification badge approached him and began talking about trimming his trees for the electric company.
The home owner reported that he saw a second male subject who stayed in the vehicle. This second male subject was described as a large white male with black colored hair and a beard. The home owner estimated this subject weighed around 230-240 pounds.
The homeowner reported that he was distracted by the first suspect pointing out trees that needed to be trimmed adjacent to the power lines around his residence. The home owner believes that while he was distracted by the first male, the second male suspect entered his residence through an unlocked door and took cash and jewelry.
The home owner reported that nothing in his house was obviously disturbed or in disarray and that he didnÂt notice anything missing until the following day.
During a canvas of the neighborhood witnesses described both males as wearing brightly colored safety vests.
